| Details: | Jeremy called to report a main line rupture on the morning of 12/13. They had to replace a 130 ft section of line. Once that was repaired another section on the other side of the park ruptured (80 ft replaced). The WS is under a boil water and has notified all customers. They took a coliform sample but it came back TC+. Jeremy is going to do some more additional flushing of the distribution and possibly shock chlorinate. They will then follow up with two more coliform samples - one from each end of the park. Jeremy to notify me of their progress and test results.
12/19 Jeremy called to report another main line rupture after completing flushing on 12/18. It has been repaired and unfortunately another leak has occurred that still needs to be repaired. The existing lines are from the 1960s. I asked Jeremy to send me a copy of his boil water notice. Lifted 12/26/2019: Jeremy called to report all line repairs have been completed and they received good sample results back today. I confirmed with the testing lab that both samples were good. The boil advisory is lifted and the WS will be notifying customers today. |
